the 11th hour

These 11 clocks each hold 11 videos. Each clock corresponds to one of the first 11 days of last November, on which I went searching for YouTube videos with under 111 views and the number of the date: (one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven) in the title in any language. I recorded these videos on a VHS tape and transferred the videos back and forth between takes for a total of 11 times. In this way, the pixels were transformed to analogue signals on magnetic tape that started to bleed and smear into each other. Once the act of 11 had passed, I reconverted the videos to a digital format and edited their length to 11 minutes (slowing some down while speeding others up). A clock for 1/01, 11/02, 11/03, 11/04, 11/05, 11/06, 11/07, 11/08, 11/09, 11/10 and 11/11. Make a wish 11:11. These pieces of time are called to play by the HTML site and given a physical body, where time loops at the rhythm of 11.
